CardronaModern resort facilities and excellent natural snow make Cardrona a popular snow field which is easily accessible from Wanaka via car or bus (from the Edgewater Resort). A wide area of the mountain is serviced by chairlifts so access is easy and queues are rare. Cardrona has an established reputation as a family orientated field. Dedicated children’ facilities include a licensed childcare and ski centre that caters for children from 3 months to 12 years. The children’s centre runs Skiwee programmes every week of the season – and even start your lessons 5 minutes after the kids so you’re not trying to be in two places at once! Snow sculpture takes on a new meaning at Cardrona. Tow park trails, the Heavy Metal and the Playzone entertain both skiers and boarders. Up to four halfpipes make up the Southern Hemisphere’s most amazing collection and a Gravity Cross Course that entertains all.
