The Medicine with Altitude Rural Doctor Refresher series is dedicated to promoting rural health through the development and implementation of high-quality continuing medical education (CME) for rural proceduralists and general practitioners. In the spirit of excellent academic pursuit combined with freedom from commercial obligations, the Conference is conducted without pharmaceutical sponsorship. Delegates meet the costs of their own education and accommodation, and their families are warmly welcomed and encouraged to accompany them.

Conference discussion forums with medical practitioners and specialists across the country have led to these dedicated procedural conferences, complete with programmes that reflect the specialist needs of the rural proceduralist, ulitmately benefiting all rural communities.

These CME conferences, organised to coincide with both northern and southern hemisphere winters, are accredited with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) for PDP points, and are also eligible for QA&CPD points which the delegates can claim themselves directly from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

The conferences continue to provide CME via presentations, covering procedural revision, medical updates, specialist contact and the chance to network with professional peers. The speakers booked for these conferences are leaders in their fields from the disciplines of Emergency Medicine, General & Paediatric Anaesthetics, and Skin Cancer surgery.

All these components will be combined with the thrill of the ski slopes, and promise to be rewarding refresher experiences - we look forward to seeing you there.
